The Marisela were a grammy-nominated band that played an often-ussy, but always entertaining, show in the spectrum gymnasium in Sacramento. With tickets available for a few dollars cheaper than the main event, supporting their music somewhat reluctantly, was a good opportunity to check out their work. Many of the artists featured were/are new to the business, and it was interesting to see how quickly their skills got known and respected. It was also great to see how some of the familiar names were still being sung old ways, despite how many years ago their performance was. It was good to see some new faces as well, including vocalist anxiety and can-caner drummer, that looked like they were enjoying themselves more than playing their music.
